Do planets influence personality & future?

Our Solar system, with Sun as the centrally located King, is made up of several planets that move around it, very much like structure of atom with central protons & surrounding electrons. Every planet, including our Mother Earth, has its own gravitational force.Hence it is natural to wonder if these planets, particularly Moon(which moves around Earth & is thought to affect the mind), have effect on creatures living on Earth.This theory is supported by the fact thet Moon influences tides of oceans & seas as well as by observations about psychosomatic disorders like Asthma & Manic-Depressive-Psychosis, which worsen during Full Moon & New Moon Days.

Indian Astrology gives tremendous weightage to the two ecliptic shadow planets Rahu & Ketu. Mythologically they are considered to be the Dragon's Head & Tail respectively.Though they do not have a physical body, they can literally play havoc in people's lives.

Planets thought to be benefic are Sun, Moon, Jupiter & Venus.Planets considered to be malefic are Saturn, Mars, Rahu & Ketu, while Mercury is said to be a neutral planet. Conjunctions & aspects of various planets can lead to a variety of good or bad effects on the native, depending on their position in the janma-lagna-kundali(birth chart).

To make any relationship work, there are a few mandatory requirements.
1.Accept the person as he/she is, not as what you want him/her to be.It is only when you are willing to accept the other, that he/she will be able to accept you as you are!
2.Avoid any comparison between him/her & yourself, or between him/her & others!Each one certainly has some positive qualities or the other & is born for a purpose.
3.Adjust with him/her, if you expect him/her to adjust with your negative qualities.
Life is adjusting with what you have got, not with what you like.If you don't/can't get what you like, you must be willing/able to like what you get!
4.Avoid judging his/her motives when he/she does a particular thing, because in reality, it maybe quite different from what you imagine!
5.Always think of the consequences, before taking a course of action in any field. Choose whichever consequence that you think is the best for you, in the given area.
HOWEVER, ALL THESE THINGS ARE MUCH EASIER SAID THAN DONE! EACH ONE MUST WORK THEM OUT FOR ONESELF, ACCORDING TO ONE'S PROBLEMS IN DEALING WITH A PERSON &/OR A SITUATION!

You all must have heard that famous shloka from Bhaj Govindam:-
PUNARAPI JANAMAM, PUNARAPI MARANAM,
PUNARAPI JANANI JATHARE SHAYANAM!

{Translation:-The soul takes hold of a body again & again(birth), it leaves the body again & again(death), it rests/sleeps again & again, in the womb of the mother!}

The place of rebirth & the nature of the forthcoming life are decided according to the works which the individual has carried out, as per the wellknown Law of Karma.
(As you sow, so shall you reap!)
(Every action leads to equal, opposite reaction.)

However, one has to remember the following dictum that's given in Bhagvad-Geeta:-
KARMANYEVA ADHIKAR ASTEY, MAA PHALESHU KADAACHANA!
(We only have a right to do the Karma, but don't have the right to expect it's results!)

A Soul that's liberated from the cycle of birth & death, which has achieved Moksha, or Oneness with the Supreme, is often sent back to the earth, to help others.It may be considered as a prophet/messenger of the Almighty, or a Son of God!Having achieved Unity with the Omnipotent, it is not bound by it's Karmas anymore!

To my mind, the symbol of the crucifix in Christianity, means a total surrender of Self, or crossing(eliminating) the ' I ' (Ego), i.e, to be able to always say to the Supreme,
'NOT MY WILL, BUT THINE BE DONE!'

Yesterday, Sadguru Vamanrao Pai, in a discourse shown in a TV Program, said:-

If one looks at the various grades of density, which form things in the Universe, there's a sort of a pattern/flow chart, similar to what one observes in one's body!

THESE GRADES ARE:-
SOLID PHASE--->LIQUID PHASE--->LIGHT(ILLUMINATION)--->GAS
--->SPACE(VACUUM)--->COSMIC MIND--->COSMIC LIFE!

In our body too, there are Seven Layers, which start from Solid & end in Cosmic state, which someone may compare with Seven Yogic Chakras or Nerve Plexuses!This theory is the very basis, of seeing the Supreme everywhere around us & of course, within us as well!The main reason why Science is presently being used by mankind, to destroy others rather than to generate good products, is because one cannot see Universal Welfare, which is akin to God's Presence in one's Environment. However, in the process, each one conveniently forgets that without everyone's wellbeing, one just cannot be happy, in an exclusive manner!

LOGICALLY, IT DOESN'T APPEAR THAT THERE'S GOING TO BE ANY ALL INDIA REEXAM, IN VIEW OF THE SHORT TIME-SPAN FOR COUNSELLING ETC, AS THE CUT-OFF DATE OF MCI IS 31.5.2006, UNLESS OF COURSE, THE LAST DATE FOR PG REGISTRATION IS EXTENDED BY THE MCI.
SIMILARLY, IT ALSO APPEARS HIGHLY UNLIKELY THAT THE SEATS WILL BE PASSED ON TO STATES, AS THAT WILL SET A PRECEDENCE FOR FUTURE EXAMS.BESIDES, IT WILL ALSO INDIRECTLY MEAN, THAT STATES CONDUCT THEIR EXAMS IN A MUCH BETTER MANNER & WITH MUCH LESS CHANCE OF LEAKAGE OF QUESTION PAPER, THAN THE CENTRALISED ALL INDIA PG EXAM, WHICH IS CONDUCTED BY THE PRESTIGIOUS AIIMS! HOWEVER, I PERSONALLY DO NOT AGREE WITH THIS CONCLUSION, BECAUSE LEAKAGE CAN OCCUR ANYWHERE, DUE TO HUMAN SHORTCOMINGS & BEHAVIOURAL ERRORS.
SO THE ONLY LIKELY OPTION LEFT NOW IS, THAT THE ALL INDIA COUNSELLING WILL CERTAINLY GO ON, AS PER THE MODIFIED SCHEDULE.
